St. Joseph's Retreat, Cloonamahon: Collooney: St. Maria Gotetti: part of a letter (draft?) to the Bishop of Achonry, James Fergus, from the Rector or St. Joseph's Retreat, Fr. Andrew Kennedy, C.P. concerning the bishops observations on the St. Maria Goretti Novena at St. Joseph's contained in his letter of 02.05.1955 (see item under serial number 8717). If bishop wishes that posters not be displayed, that will be done. Concerning offerings, some people, wishing to take part in the Novena Masses, do enclose an offering with the forms signed by them. Would help if the bishop could supply more details about the "gossip" in the matter, "so that we may be able to correct any abuse" (see also item under serial number 8719).

Archival documents are catalogued in the following way : Shelf number, box number, file number and item number. Thus, 45/1/1/4 means shelf forty-five, box one, file one and item four. In addition to this each item has an individual serial number. This is attached to the catalogue as an alternative identifier.
