sketch map showing fields flooded by water at St. Paul's Retreat, Mount Argus. As one looks N. from Kimage Road, field to one's left is marked Mr. Nolan - Whelan's field. The break in the bank of the River Poddle is top NE corner of this field. The field from there to the W. side of avenue, and the field on the E. side of avenue are all shown as flooded. The pond opposite present (1973) cemetary is marked empty. There is a lodge shown at Kimmage Road entrance and an archway under the avenue shown at this point,

Solicitors, 60 Carey Street, Lincoln's Inn, London, to the Rector, informing him that the boundary wall, mentioned by him in his letter, belongs to Mr. Whelan. If wall is not in good repair, he ought to be called upon to repair it.

Informs that the Fathers own Mill Pond and rectangular pond nearest road, Encloses tracing of estate, with request to mark site of burst in banks. Filling pond might lead to litigation It may be an obligation to keep bank in good order.

Mount Argus: Deds:letter from Fr,. William, C.P., on behalf of the provimcial to Fr. Dominic O'Neill, C.P/ Provomcial advises that when the deeds are signed, "the sooner the better". No indication as what the deeds are about.
Mount Argus; Deeds:Communication from John Cavanagh, Solicitor, 52 DAme Street, Dublin, conveying instructions to Fr. Bernard for executing deeds (where to sign etc.). It is not clear whether this a general instruction or relates to particular deed. No information on that.
