A bound volume containing documentary material relating to the beatification of Pope Pius X (1835-1914). His beatification took place on 3 June 1951 at St. Peter’s Basilica before twenty-three cardinals, hundreds of bishops and archbishops, and a crowd of over one hundred thousand. Pope Pius X was later canonized on 29 May 1954. The volume includes newspaper clippings, printed ephemera, manuscript transcriptions, commemorative postcards, and press and agency photographs relating to the beatification. The volume is a ‘Richview Account Series Book’ printed by Browne & Nolan in Dublin.
