Mount Argus: Students: 1870024 Toner, C.P., Kevin Decision by the Consulta on receiving the report of a Mount Argus Local Chapter (25 November, 1872). Two students, Ignatius Hilton and Alexius O'Leary are to be dismissed and a third, Kevin Toner, reduced to the ranks, so to speak - he is put on a year's trial and in the meantime loses his priority and goes down to last place. It should be noted, that while Salvian Nardocci records Ignatius as having been professed on 22.06.1870 and Alexius on 18.12.1870, they are not included on the database. They are also included in the Professions and Renunciations Register. Salvian gives a full account of this case in Vol 3, pp 80-82 of the Annals.

Why no rererence to request for faculties for the 2 young priests? (see item under serial number 1976). It would be a good idea for Sacred Congregation to ask to see the contract. Sem títuloHoly Cross Retreat, Ardoyne, Belfast; Dispute with Bishop McAllister: Letter from Bishop McAllister to the Provincial. He informs Vincent that the Diocesan Bazaar and the rebuilding of Ardoyne Church can't be done together without injury to both projects. Futrthermore both Ardoyne and Ligoniel, whilst administered by the Passionists, are a mensal parish. Hence, since the church is to be the church of the secular mission, a new . church must be approved by the bishop. He is not prepared to give such permission at the moment. He will give it when circustances permit.
