Draft agreement of John Maher with Jane Revell regarding his tenancy of houses, yards and plots of ground on the south side of North Brunswick Street for the term of 999 years at the yearly rent of £30. Maher refers to the ‘dilapidated state’ of the premises which are ‘likely to be condemned by the Corporation authorities … and also ‘the falling off of the value of property in this neighbourhood caused by the removal of Smithfield Market’.
