A view of a bridge and farmhouse on the River Liffey near Blessington in County Wicklow. This bridge was seemingly demolished in anticipation of the flooding of the valley and the creation of the Poulaphouca Reservoir.

This photograph was published in ‘The Father Mathew Record’ (Feb. 1937), vol. 30, no. 2, at p. 99 under the caption ‘The Liffey Valley at Blessington, where the water will rise above the house and bridge to make the northern extremity of the lake’.
