The text was given to the Irish Capuchin Archives by Fr. Donatus McNamara OFM Cap. Fr. Donatus was a member of the panel responsible for producing a new translation of the Bible into Silozi. The project sought to produce a translation which would enhance comprehension. Fr. Donatus undertook the proofreading and project oversight.
